Quality and Environment Management System

By following international standards of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, KEIOH has established a quality and environment management system and has been certified by SGS. “Customer satisfaction, quality excellence, continuous improvement and quick response” are our policies for quality management. Based on these policies, we have developed quality objectives at each stage to ensure product quality can meet customer expectation. With a good internal and external communication channel established, we can fully understand customer’s needs and suggestions. We prioritize customer satisfaction and continuous improvement with emphasis on PDCA and establish a standard operating procedure (SOP) that can fulfill product specification and customer requirements. With the SOP, all our operators can follow their tasks, ensuring consistency of product quality.

In addition to giving extreme high requirement for our products, KEIOH also additionally bears its responsibilities and attitudes to the environment.  We also continuously push the green product design in order to provide customers with products without hazardous substances.

We endeavor to deliver our high quality, zero defect and cost-effective products and services to customers with faster technological design, manufacturing service, risk management and product quality protection responsibility. Based on these policies, we developed quality objectives at each stage to ensure that our product quality meets customer expectations, which we use as the operational performance for our quality management system.

 

Environment Policy

The environment policy of KEIOH is the mission and belief that we adhere to for social responsibility and environmental protection. While searching for and maintaining the overall bio-environment and sustainable development, we strive for technology upgrading and breakthrough, and push the environment management system and its associated activities with a prudent attitude and full aggressiveness to implement pollution prevention, to create a good working environment, to protect physiological and psychological health for our employees, to earnestly fulfill our lawful responsibility, social obligation and the corporate responsibility of the environmental protection. Insisting on the following commitments, we also use them as our prime guideline for our environment management decisions:

 

• 1. Follow environmental protection laws and regulations: Examine environmental protection related laws and regulations and follow the requirements of environmental protection laws and regulations as stipulated by the competent authority.
• 2. Maximize resource innovation: Maximize available resources, reduce wastes, lower pollution to the environment and save energy consumption.
• 3. Continue green production: Periodically audit and review to ensure continuous improvement results of implementation of the environment policy, maintaining altogether the green global village.

 

Occupational Safety and Health Policy

 

KEIOH is dedicated to enhancing the level of corporate safety management. Through the implementation and operation of the occupational safety and health management system, we aim to strengthen autonomous management and continuously improve, providing a friendly and safe working environment. We pledge to:

Product hazardous substance management

 

We continue to ensure that each manufacturing process meets international laws and regulation and the requirements for customer environmental protection. With the hazardous substance restriction control specification being upgraded from time to time, we clearly stipulate the norm for product hazardous substance use and ensure that all of the requirements of the environmental protection related controls are met.

 

Climate change and GHG reduction

 

KEIOH has long paid attention on environmental protection issues and is well aware of the mission and responsibility a corporation shall bear. We aggressively take friendly actions toward the environment. While in constant pursuit of maintaining the eco-environment and sustainable development, we strive for technology upgrading and breakthrough, and lead suppliers to establish altogether the green supply chain. In 2014, we started to push the operation of GHG inventory, to continuously draw energy saving projects and energy utilization upgrading, to aggressively conduct the voluntary GHG inventory operation.

　

To effectively mitigate environmental impact, we not only actively implement measures to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, but also annually identify the risks associated with climate change. We focus on energy-saving and carbon-reducing actions to mitigate climate change and environmental impact. Through the allocation of responsibilities and collaboration among our environmental specialists, we continually monitor environmental issues and closely observe global climate change trends and their impact. By continuously monitoring and analyzing data, we implement policies and develop standard procedures to prevent the impact of climate disasters on the environment.

 

 

 

Statement of no use of “Conflict minerals”

 

On August 22, 2012, The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) passed Article No. 1502 of the “Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act”, the final edition with regard to “Conflict minerals” procurement. With our corporate social responsibility and international justice practice, KEIOH addresses our statement with the standardized self-management approach to avoid use of metallic materials such as, gold, tantalum, tungsten, tin, etc, which are often used in electronic products, from the conflict area such as Democratic Republic of the Congo and its neighboring areas where environment and human rights are neglected per the EICC/GeSI Conflict Minerals Reporting Template of the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC).

 

 

KEIOH’s Statement of “Conflict Minerals”:

 

• KEIOH and its suppliers shall take social and environmental protection responsibilities.
• The “Three No” principle for KEIOH is no support, no acceptance and no use of metals. “Conflict Minerals” from the D.R. Congo and its neighboring nations as well as armed conflict areas where metals are mined illegally from unacceptable working environments.
• Suppliers shall retrace the sources of Co, Au, Pd, Ta, Sn and W that are contained in all products to ensure that those metals do not come from the “conflict mining areas”.
• Implement the green supply chain to comply with customer’s requirements and international justice practice. Understand in-depth the management condition of the conflict minerals by suppliers and investigate per the EICC/GeSI Conflict Minerals Reporting Template.
